Les Filles de Caleb - L’histoire d’une œuvre légendaire - Book and CD
Les Filles de Caleb – L'histoire d'une oeuvre légendaire is a book that explores and explains the journey of a narrative deeply cherished by Quebecers, inspired by the family history of author Arlette Cousture and drawn from her famous novels. Through numerous collected testimonies, Mario Girard, columnist at La Presse, succeeds in retracing the remarkable odyssey of this homegrown saga.
In addition to the book, the release includes the symphonic album Les Filles de Caleb, an original work by Blair Thomson that brings to life, through music, many of the series’ most memorable and iconic scenes. The 16 symphonic pieces, totaling 79 minutes of music, are performed by the Montreal Symphony Orchestra under the direction of conductor Dina Gilbert. It’s a wonderful way to mark the 40th anniversary of the publication of the first volume and the 35th anniversary of the television series.
